  • 1998 - Graduated from Tenino High School
  • 1999 - Graduated top recruit from the Thurston County Volunteer Fire Recruit Academy
  • 2000 - Graduated from SPSCC with an A.A.
  • 2001 - Graduated from the Washington State Fire Training Academy
  • 2002 - Hired by the Washington State University Fire Dept
  • 2003 - Backpacked across Europe and lived in Florence Italy studying cooking for a summer
  • 2005 - Graduated from WSU with a BA in Philosophy, minoring in Psychology
  • 2006 - Hired as a Professional Firefighter
  • 2011 - Elected to Tenino City Council
  • 2012 - The birth of my daughter Sage
  • 2015 - Elected as Mayor of Tenino
  • 2017 - Received certification in Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities
  • 2017 - Named best Mayor in Western Washington by King5
  • 2017 - AWC Municipal Excellence Award for Small City Success
  • 2019 - Named Nisqually Valley News Person of the Year in
  • 2019 - Received an Advanced Certification in Municipal Leadership from the AWC
  • 2019 - Established a local currency program in Tenino to provide financial relief during the COVID pandemic that led to an international media tour inspiring other communities to develop their own local solutions and advocating for decentralized economies that eventually led to our currency and policies being enshrined in the Smithsonian Museum of American History.
  • 2022 - Successfully lobbied for a $750,000 capital budget request to buy new park playground equipment
  • 2022 - Established the Tenino WWTP Septage Receiving program
  • We have renovated or nearly finished renovating every City facility, Parks/City Hall/Public Works Shop/Quarry House Community Center/Quarry Pool/Museum during my tenure and done it by securing outside grant funds at no additional cost to the citizens of Tenino.
